Ingredients
- 2 cups split peas
- 1 tsp minced dried onion
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp thyme
- 1 tsp tumeric
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 bouillon cubes
- 5 cups water
Directions
- Add 5 cups of water and all other ingredients in a large pot.
- Bring to a boil over high heat, reduce heat to low and simmer until the peas are tender and the soup is thick, about 45-50 minutes. Add more water if necessary to soften peas.
- Puree with immersion blender for a smooth finish.
- Season to taste.
