Split Pea Soup

Ingredients

  • 2 cups split peas
  • 1 tsp minced dried onion
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 1 tsp tumeric
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 bouillon cubes
  • 5 cups water

Directions

  1. Add 5 cups of water and all other ingredients in a large pot.
  2. Bring to a boil over high heat, reduce heat to low and simmer until the peas are tender and the soup is thick, about 45-50 minutes. Add more water if necessary to soften peas.
  3. Puree with immersion blender for a smooth finish.
  4. Season to taste.
