Spaghetti Sauce
Ingredients
- 500 g lean ground beef
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 medium yellow onion diced
- 3 large carrots diced
- 1 package mushrooms
- 1 green bell pepper diced
- 430 g tomato sauce
- 170 g tomato paste
- 1/2 tsp italian seasoning
- 1 tbsp oregano
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- crushed red pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tbsp sugar
- 1/4 cup water
Directions
- In a large pot, add the olive oil and the ground beef. Separate it with a
wooden sppon and cook until it's browned and then set aside.
- Add more olive oil to the pan and then put in the onions, peppers, and
carrots. Cook for about 7-8 minutes until the onions are translucent and the
carrots are soft.
- Add the beef back to the pan. Then add the spices, sugar, and worcestershire
sauce. Let that marry together before adding the tomato paste, tomato sauce, and
the water.
- Stir well to combine and bring it to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 30
minutes.
- Serve with spaghetti and parmesan.
