Spaghetti Sauce

Ingredients

  • 500 g lean ground beef
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 medium yellow onion diced
  • 3 large carrots diced
  • 1 package mushrooms
  • 1 green bell pepper diced
  • 430 g tomato sauce
  • 170 g tomato paste
  • 1/2 tsp italian seasoning
  • 1 tbsp oregano
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • crushed red pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp sugar
  • 1/4 cup water

Directions

  1. In a large pot, add the olive oil and the ground beef. Separate it with a wooden sppon and cook until it's browned and then set aside.
  2. Add more olive oil to the pan and then put in the onions, peppers, and carrots. Cook for about 7-8 minutes until the onions are translucent and the carrots are soft.
  3. Add the beef back to the pan. Then add the spices, sugar, and worcestershire sauce. Let that marry together before adding the tomato paste, tomato sauce, and the water.
  4. Stir well to combine and bring it to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
  5. Serve with spaghetti and parmesan.
